Terms of service

The rules for using Podcast To Transcript: your account, plans and payments, fair use and how podcast creators can have an episode removed.
The service
Podcast To Transcript turns a podcast episode you point it at into a transcript with speaker labels, timestamps, insights, AI tools and chat. It works through the browser extension and this website.
Your account
You need an account to transcribe. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
Plans and payments
The Free plan and the Pro plan come with the monthly minutes and limits shown on the pricing page. Pro renews monthly or yearly until you cancel. Top-up minutes are a one-time purchase. Prices include VAT.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Minutes are reserved when a job starts and returned when it fails.
Fair use
Transcribe only episodes you are allowed to listen to. Do not try to get around protection on audio, overload the service, resell it or use it to break the law. We refuse protected or platform-exclusive audio and may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
Transcripts and copyright
Episodes belong to their creators. Transcripts are for your personal use: reading, searching, quoting and taking notes. They are visible only to signed-in users who transcribed the same episode and are not published or indexed by search engines.
Removal requests
If you own a podcast and do not want an episode or a whole feed transcribed, write to [email protected] with the episode or feed address and a way to confirm you own it.
Once confirmed, we block it: existing transcripts are no longer served and new jobs for it are refused.
AI output
Transcripts, speaker labels, insights, translations and chat answers are produced automatically and can contain mistakes. Check anything important against the episode itself.
Liability
We work to keep the service available and accurate but provide it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
Contact
Questions about this page, your data or a removal request go to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.
